edging-with-cobblestone-02Reclaimed cobblestone is great material to use for perimeter edging and borders for planting areas as seen below left image, and for driveways or walkways.  Raised cobbles can be very attractive and effective in retaining decomposed granite or gravel. Available from our Historic European Cobblestone collection, in either granite (porphyry) or old sandstone, traditional squares cobbles in 5×5, 6×6 or 7×7  or rectangles in 4×7 or 5×8 all can be set on a concrete bed, elevated or used as a border.

There are also very large over-sized cobblestones, considered to be curbing because of their size. These large cobblestones beautifully compliment an antique cobble driveway or walkway or create an exceptional border for decomposed granite or gravel driveways. The sizes range from 6″ wide to 12″ long and are 12″ high.

Whether using traditional sized rectangles or square cobbles or the over-sized pieces, this type of edging allows more flexibility with design, especially small curved areas.

Actual reclaimed CURB is available as well, for a more linear appearance as shown in the image below.
