Reclaimed Antique Historic Sidewalk Cobble makes a big impression on the patio of this home in Michigan.

The colors of this exquisite, reclaimed cobblestone are incredibly vibrant! You won’t find a color range like this on any other type of antique reclaimed or salvaged cobblestone or stone paver.

Our customer, Mr. and Mrs. Moskal of Howell Michigan, designed and also installed this inviting outdoor space. They selected Historic Sidewalk Cobble® (6” x 6”x 2” to 4” high) for over 900 SF of patio area. Historic Sidewalk Cobble® are beautiful authentic hand-split stones created hundreds of years ago for foot-friendly pedestrian areas. This cobble has not been exposed to the dirt, oil, eventual asphalt that covered many cobblestone streets – they have retained a fairly consistent shape and especially their gorgeous patina!

The natural color range is warm and the patina velvety smooth after centuries of leather sole foot traffic. Historic Sidewalk Cobble® is only available in a square sizes: 5″ or 6″ and the natural height ranges from 2″ to 4″ high. As an option, the bottom can be saw-cut for a paver thickness, in heights ranging from 1.5″ to 2″. This sawn version is perfect for installation on a concrete base. Here in the U.S., Historic Sidewalk Cobble®  is particularly appealing for home or commercial use on patios, walkways or other pedestrian areas, as well as for traditional stone driveway use. You can find photos of all these different applications in our GALLERY.

Historic Sidewalk Cobble® is originally from the same historic stone quarries found in Europe that produced many other cobblestone shapes and sizes ranging from squares to rectangles. We import several different sizes of this unique cobblestone, which we call;  antique ‘sandstone’ cobblestone. Visit our website for more information.
